Time to water the seeds!

Each spring our family grows a garden. There is just something about growing your own vegetables that the kids love. They even eat them! They watch in amazement each day as more and more vegetables grow and they love picking out the ripe veggies to bring inside. We normally plant cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers, squash and zuchinni. Some plants grow well, but some do not. The kids get upset when the smaller plants don't produce like the bigger ones. They make it their personal mission to make sure the smaller ones get alot more attention so they can catch up and eventually end up on their dinner plate. The fact is, some seeds just need more nourishment than others. I guess some seeds are more stubborn than others, but if you give up on them, they will never have the chance to grow into something big. Isn't that the same in the family of God? Some of us just take longer to grow. Some of us need more "spiritual nourishment". Some of us need more time, patience and love from those in our spiritual family. We need to continue to help those "seeds" grow around us. It's all about making God's church bigger. What if someone would have stopped watering your seed? What if they got tired of giving you encouragement to grow? Where would you be? Or better yet, where would you not be? We all need eachother in the family of God. We all need love and support from eachother to continue to grow bigger and better in our walk with God! Who are you watering? Ephesians 2:10 "For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."
